The San Diego County Investigators Association, (SDCIA) was founded in 1962, by active law enforcement agents, Deputy Sheriff's, Police Detectives, Field Investigators and other front line officers from various local, state, federal and military agencies. Today, SDCIA continues to be directed by Santos "Sal" Garcia, and other former Law Enforcement Officers.

SDCIA is a nonprofit organization and over the years, our membership has migrated from active Law Enforcement Officers (LEO's) and Investigators to qualified private sector investigators with law enforcement experience. Our investigators are fully licensed, insured and have several years of experience in their respective fields of investigations.   Several speak both English and Spanish.

The majority of our members are qualified former and retired professional law enforcement officers (LEO's) who continue to use their experience and training to provide professional investigative services throughout San Diego and the State of California.

Membership is open to qualified professional, experienced active and former law enforcement officers who are licensed investigators in their respective states.
